Lede

Privacy Policy

Lede collects no data. Effective September 30, 2026.

What stays on your iPhone

Your subscriptions, articles, read and starred state, and settings are stored only on your device. Lede has no accounts and no servers of its own, and it never sends this information anywhere.

What Lede connects to

Lede downloads feeds, articles, images and site icons directly from the websites you subscribe to, and from services their articles point to (such as a YouTube thumbnail for an embedded video, or Hacker News's public API for live comment counts), the same way a web browser does. Those sites receive an ordinary request from your device (including its IP address) and handle it under their own privacy policies. Links you open in Safari are governed by Safari and the site you visit.

What Lede doesn't do

No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party SDKs, and no sharing or selling of data. Lede does not collect any of the data types listed in Apple's App Privacy categories.

Deleting your data

Delete a feed to remove its articles, use Clear Cache in Lede's settings, or delete the app to remove everything.
